Last Year Our Foundation Funded
In our inaugural grant cycle, Boys & Girls Foundation awarded funding to a select group of San Diego County nonprofits dedicated to serving abused, neglected, and underserved youth. This report summarizes the reach and results of those investments.
Program Highlights
Grants were awarded across eight program areas, each targeting a critical need for vulnerable youth in our community.
Mental Health Support
Funded counseling and trauma-informed care programs that provided over 1,200 therapy sessions to at-risk youth across San Diego County.
Academic Enrichment
Supported after-school tutoring and literacy programs that helped more than 800 students improve their reading and math proficiency.
Mentorship Programs
Enabled structured mentorship initiatives that matched 350 youth with caring adult mentors from the local community.
Safe Housing & Stability
Assisted organizations providing transitional housing and family stabilization services to over 200 youth and their families.
Arts & Recreation
Brought creative arts, sports, and enrichment activities to more than 600 youth who would otherwise lack access to these opportunities.
Abuse Prevention
Funded prevention education and intervention programs that reached 1,000+ children with critical safety and empowerment training.
